Hey there, Crafter! I am so glad you dropped by because today we are going to be talking

about cards. I love making cards, especially birthday cards and thank you cards. Today I’m going to show you how to make a really easy card for any occasion. This card is actually really weird because you have to put it in the fridge. But trust me, it’s so fun! It’s also a great project for kids. So grab a friend and Let’s Get Crafting!!!

Often I get invited to a party, and then last minute I remember that I don’t have a birthday card!😦 I don’t have much time to spare, so I have to act quickly. Today I am going to show you how to make a super cool and easy card for all of those last minute parties!!!!!

The materials that you will need for this project are really simple!

You will need:

  • Koi Coloring Brush Pens
  • White card stock
  • Paint brush
  • Parchment paper
  • Paper cutter AKA:portable trimmer
  • A jar of water

The first thing you will need to do is cut your paper. This is when your paper cutter will come in handy! Don’t get me wrong, girl, you don’t HAVE to have a paper cutter, you could just use your Cricut or Silhouette etc. But today I am using my paper cutter. I have the Cricut portable trimmer! I LOVE it!❤️It has a little grid for scoring, which I love.

This grid is super helpful because you can line your paper up to the lines and get a PERFECT cut!😃

Okay, once you have cut out your card, you get to choose the colors! This is one of my favorite parts about this card because you can literally use ANY colors you want it’s soooooo customizable! So, to pick the colors, you can use practically any color palette. You could do the colors of the party or the person’s favorite color. You could even do RAINBOW 🌈 Now, that my friend, would be so cool! I think I might try that!🤔I usually like to do ombre. I think that it’s super cool and fun! After your colors are picked, I like to put them in order like this:

This way I know what color is next.

The next step is to color your blank card!

Yes, my friend, I agree, right now that it doesn’t look too pretty, but it’s time for the magic to happen!!!!! This is when you pull out your paint brush and water! Start dropping water on your card until you think it looks good!

Now it’s time for the crazy part…… put your card in the fridge with your parchment paper under it so that you won’t get water inside your fridge. I’ve forgotten that before and trust me, it made a mess. Set a timer for about 3-4 minutes, or until it looks done. The one important thing about this step is to not leave your card in for too long. So remember, that you don’t want your card to completely dry in the fridge!

After 3-4 minutes then it’s time for the reveal!

Isn’t that sooo stunning? I love it! And like I already said it’s super fun!

Here are a couple others that I have done.

You could also do calligraphy on it like this one!

I hope that this post has inspired you to be more creative! If you have any questions or comments feel free
